Elon Musk Is Looking For A New Investor To Pay Off Twitter

JAKARTA - Elon Musk is reportedly looking for a new investor for Twitter. The company must seek fresh funds as a result of continuing to spend money and facing large interest payments for its debt,

Musk's financial manager, Jared Birchall, offered Twitter shares for $ 54.20 worth IDR 846 thousand per share. The price was the same as what Musk paid to make the company his last October.

"Over the last few weeks we have received a lot of incoming requests to invest on Twitter," Birchall told investors in an email.

"Therefore, we are pleased to announce a further equity offer for ordinary shares with initial prices and conditions, targeting a year-end close", he added.

Tesla investor Ross Gerber said he was contacted yesterday about another funding round. Indeed, Gerber has bought it but less than $1 million on Twitter.

However, Gerber did not immediately agree to Birchall's invitation. Currently, he is considering an offer to include more money into assets that the owner thinks are too expensive.

People can argue that he has created a value or destroyed a value on Twitter. It's hard to say at this point," Gerber said.

Launching Semafor, Saturday, December 17, Musk asked investors to pay a full price for assets whose value collapsed quickly, and this would be a difficult sale.

Musk may have an idea who will save Twitter and clean up social media, but he ran out of ground to do so.

It is known, he resells Tesla shares worth US$3.6 billion on Wednesday, possibly to add more equity to Twitter in order to lower his debt burden.

It was the third time he has sold Tesla shares since saying he will end it in April. Musk himself has admitted that he paid more for Twitter, and is now asking people to do the same.

It is undeniable that Twitter is currently in such dire financial trouble that Musk has taken innovative steps such as no longer paying rent in some of Twitter's office spaces and vendors.
