Vivaldi Becomes The First Browser Integrated With Mastodon

JAKARTA - Vivaldi browser recently announced that they are the first web browser to be integrated with the Mastodon platform. Mastodon has become increasingly popular since Elon Musk took over Twitter completely, and has presented some confusion among Twitter users with his new policies.

In its announcement, Vivaldi said it would integrate the platform into its desktop browser phase, to make it easier for users to view posts from accounts they follow on Mastodon.

"Today we are integrating Vivaldi Social into our desktop browser schedule to be the first browser to offer this function," wrote Vivaldi Technologies CEO Jon von Tetzchner.

To see this new integration, you must download the latest version of Vivaldi 5.6. Based on the image uploaded by Vivaldi, when you open the latest version of the browser. You will see the Mastodon logo on the left side of the browser.

After clicking on the logo, you will be taken to a new website called "Vivaldi Social", a special website that is integrated with Mastodon.

From there, you will be able to access Mastodon instants, and can also add other special web panels, just like browsers in general.

"Vivaldi Social appears because we love the idea of distributed social networks based on open standards. We want to offer people a better alternative to communicating in algorithm-free environments without surveillance capitalism, without tracking or data processing," added Tetzchner.
