JAKARTA - Epic Games announces that now RealityScan, the 3D scanning app for mobile devices is now available to iOS users.

RealityScan allows mobile users to convert photos into high fidelity 3D models, with systems that are easy to use.

To use this application, you just need to take photos of objects that you want to imitate in 3D using a smartphone or tablet, and the app will automatically compile them into 3D models using cloud processing.

You can then upload your model to Sketchfab, where you can publish, share, and sell 3D, VR, and AR content.

Based on information on the Unreal Engine website, RealityScan was created by Capturing Reality, the developer of the photogratry solution which is part of the Epic Games family, with the mission of making 3D scanning accessible to everyone.

In collaboration with Quixel, creator of Megascans, the world's largest scanning library, Epic Games will give you a new tool that simplifies the CG model creation process from 3D scans.

RealityScan takes advanced technology from Quixel, so the app has the ability to create a very accurate 3D model.

"With RealityScan, anyone can now create 3D models from real-world objects and use them to improve their visualization project realism," the company said.

Epic Games has big plans for RealityScan in the future. The company said it would bring in more features and app upgrades, as well as release them in the Android version that arrives in 2023.
