JAKARTA - Twitter's alternative platform, Hive Social, has turned off its servers arbitrarily after receiving reports of a number of vulnerabilities in its services.

The report comes from researchers part of a German collective named Zerforschung. Where they found a number of critical vulnerabilities on Hive Social servers.

They did not specify what vulnerability it was publicly, but they claimed to have personally reported it to the related company.

"We found a number of critical vulnerabilities, which we report in secret to the company," Zerforschung wrote in his blog.

After several attempts to contact the company, Zerforschung finally managed to contact Hive by telephone and the company acknowledged the truth of Zerforschung's report.

"After a few days and some reminders from us, they claim to fix it in the next two days," he added.

Finally Hive made the decision to shut down his server as a follow-up to handling the vulnerability.

"The Hive team has been aware of security issues that affect the stability of our app and the safety of our users. To fix this problem, the server will be shut down for several days while we fix it for a better and safer experience," Hive wrote.

The company promised to fix it and reactivate the server. However, it is not certain how long this server repair will last, based on VOI's monitoring, so far, Hive has not activated its servers.
