Investor Mark Mobius Predicts Bitcoin Prices Can Fall To 10,000 US Dollars, Wow!

JAKARTA The decline in the crypto market has not come to an end. Bitcoin as the leader of the world's largest crypto asset by market cap has seen a significant decline after the bankruptcy of FTX. Recently, veteran investor and founder of Mobius Capital Partners, Mark Mobius, predicted the price of Bitcoin (BTC) to fall even deeper.

Mobius spent more than three decades at Franklin Templeton Investments. He previously served as executive chairman of the Templeton Emerging Markets Group where he manages more than $50 billion in emerging country market portfolios.

In an interview with Bloomberg, Mobius shared his views regarding the decline in BTC prices. The veteran investor is targeting the next drop in Bitcoin at the level of $10.000. He thinks crypto assets are "too dangerous" to invest his money or client's money.

Crypto is here to stay because there are some investors who still have faith in it... It's amazing how bitcoin prices hold on," said Mark Mobius.

Even so, this Mobius prediction is not the first. Launching Bitcoin.com News, last May, former high-ranking Franklin Templeton also warned that the crypto market would still experience a deeper decline. In November last year, he said people should not see cryptocurrencies as a means to invest but as a "source to speculate and have fun."

Mobius is not alone in expecting bitcoin prices to drop to $10.000. Doubleline Capital CEO Jeffrey Gundlach, aka the king of bonds, said the same thing last June.

"I wouldn't be surprised at all if [bitcoin] reached $10.000," Gundlach said.

While economist Peter Schiff said this month that bitcoin still has a long way to go. He assessed BTC will fall at 10 thousand US dollars. In addition, a recent Bloomberg MLIV Pulse survey shows that the majority of nearly 1,000 investors responding estimate the price of bitcoin will drop to 10,000 dollars per BTC.

Meanwhile, some people are still very optimistic about the price of BTC. Then venture capital investor Tim Draper, for example, said earlier this month that he expects the price of bitcoin to reach 250 thousand US dollars by mid-2023.
