Support National Game Talenta, ICE Institute And Acer Indonesia Create A Game Working Space In Solo

JAKARTA - ICE Institute together with Acer Indonesia through the Game Developer micro-credential Program, presents Space's Game Working Center, the first Gym Technology and Learning Development Center in Indonesia, located in Solo Technopark, Solo.

The presence of Game Working Space is expected to be a leading center for game technology as a support in the development of the game ecosystem in Indonesia from upstream to downstream, so that it can contribute significantly to the advancement of the national game industry.

The presence of Game Working Space in Solo Technopark is a momentum to support players and fans of the game industry in Indonesia. The opening of the Game Working Space will bring great opportunities for game talents in Solo to be able to join and become a part of advancing the national game industry," said Surakarta Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka who was present at the inauguration of the Game Working Space.

Gibran also appreciated the commitment shown by Acer Indonesia, the ICE Institute, and Kedaireka in an effort to improve the quality of local games and make Solo Technopark the leading center of the first game technology in Indonesia.

Through this inauguration, the ICE Institute also presented a national game talent acceleration program as a sustainability of the Micro-credential Game Developer Program, to prepare excellent students for downstream game products that have been developed.

The national game talent acceleration program is a collaboration between Acer Indonesia and the ICE Institute, Open University, Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology through the Kedaireka, Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, and Solo Technopark platforms.

A number of other parties who are also involved in this collaboration include experts from the University of Indonesia, BINUS University, Pelita Harapan University, Telkom University, Pradita University, AMIKOM, Gadjah Mada University, Bandung Institute of Technology, Sepuluh Institute of Technology November Surabaya, Open University and national game industry players.

Collaboration is an effort to integrate resources owned by higher education and industrial needs, in accordance with the vision of Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM), which in particular can have a constructive impact on the progress of the national gaming ecosystem.

This national game talent acceleration program is a downstream program for the top 3 games from 54 game development results developed by 672 students from 180 universities from all over Indonesia, which is the result of the Microcreential Game Developer Program (PMGD) organized by the ICE Institute for 5 months, starting from February - July 2022.

Indonesian Acer Support for the National Game Talent Acceleration Program

The National Talenta Game Acceleration Program to support the Game Industry in Indonesia is fully supported by Acer Indonesia, through the procurement of superior Hardware gaming in the Game Working Space, in the form of 1 unit of Infranos predator full set, 1 unit of Orion PC predator, 12 units of Veriton PC, 12 units of XV242Y_P Monitor, 1 unit of BS-120P/PA Projector, 10 units of Gaming Chairs, and 1 unit of Acer Swift 3 Cima.

The superior products presented by Acer Indonesia are mostly domestic products made by the nation with a domestic content level or TKDN and a weight of company benefits or BMP 40%.
