Elon Musk Denies Verification Of His New Twitter Account Next Week, New Colors Of Verification Signs Will Appear

JAKARTA - Twitter Inc plans to launch a verified account service next Friday, next week with different color ticks for individuals, companies and governments. This was done, following a failed initial launch that led to a surge in users imitating celebrities and brands on the platform.

Chief Executive Elon Musk on Friday, November 25 shared colors for the category. For example, gold for companies, gray for governments and blue ticks for individuals including celebrities.

"It hurts, but it's necessary," Musk said, adding that the verified account would be manually quantized before the checkmark was activated.

The updated 8 per month US dollar service will allow individuals to have a smaller secondary logo than their organization if verified by them, Musk said in another tweet on Friday. "An explanation is longer next week," he tweeted.

The social media platform on Monday has postponed the launch of a new verification which makes it very easy as the service is expected to help Twitter increase revenue as Musk tries to keep advertisers after buying the company last month for $44 billion.

The subscription service, referred to by Musk as a "great alignment", was temporarily suspended on November 11 due to a fake account mushrooming, forcing the world's richest man to return the "official" badge to some users.

For example, a user who pretends to be the drugmaker Eli totals and Co has tweeted that insulin will be free, causing the company's shares to fall and forcing him to issue an apology.

The turmoil caused several companies including General Motors and United Airlines, even Volkswagen, to mediate or withdraw ads on the platform. However, according to Musk, currently user growth on Twitter is at an all-time high.
