Twitter Is Emphasizing Two Factors Authentication Issues With Some Users

JAKARTA - Despite the account verification drama on Twitter, it seems that the platform that has just moved to Elon Musk has several other issues.

On the morning of Wednesday, November 16, the Twitter Support account @TwitterSupport tweeted, where they said that two-factor authentication (2FA) is still a way to protect user accounts.

"To clear up confusion about two factors authentication on Twitter is still alive and a good way to protect your account. If you activate it, the authentication method you choose is enough," the company wrote.

Apparently, not without reason the company said that. The tweet was shared after several user reports said they did not receive an SMS code from Twitter when they performed 2FA.

In a screenshot shared by a user named @FairywrenTech, where an error occurred about how the verification SMS code could not be sent to the user.

But it seems, this case only occurs in a few users. Because Twitter claims that they are investigating'some cases' on this verification issue.

"We are investigating several cases where the SMS code was not sent," Twitter explained in a tweet.
