JAKARTA - The Digital Transformation Expo (DTE) was officially opened by the Minister of Communication and Information Technology, Johnny G Plate on Sunday, November 13, 2022 in Nusa Dua, Bali.

By carrying the concept of When Tomorrow is Now, Metaverse Corner on the Digital Transformation Expo (DTE), the G20 Summit features two themes, namely Education and Trade.

On the theme of Education, Meta shows the future of education and how technology can make learning more in-depth and more interesting using AR technology that can help facilitate online learning in a more interactive way, more than just a 2D screen.

Metaverse Corner will show how distance learning has become an important aspect in education with its ability to go beyond space and time constraints.

Furthermore, on the theme of Trade, Meta presents the future of Trade, where the experience of "online shopping" at a very different level through the experience of multi-sensor spending that combines five dimensions: perceptions, emotions, thoughts, behaviors, and relationships into a much more meaningful retail experience.

This DTE itself consists of six areas. The first area has an entrance which provides the first picture of the G20 collaboration. Then in the second area there is a Tunnel of Wonders which contains a visual appearance of the natural wealth and beauty of Indonesian culture.

In the third area or the main area will display the development of four pillars of Indonesia's digital transformation. The fourth area provides presentations on the development of digital transformation from several G20 countries.

Furthermore, in the area, there is a World of Collaboration as a form of appreciation from the Ministry of Communication and Informatics for the role of multistakeholders in encouraging the acceleration of digital transformation in area five.

The Metaverse Corner is in the last area, namely area six, which presents digital experience based on metaverse technology as a result of collaboration with the nation's and global technology companies.
