Former Meta employee: "A lot. I think from my friends, maybe 10 or more."

News of layoffs also had an impact on businesses in the area. We spoke with some restaurant owners who said businesses were sluggish with some Meta employees working from home. After Wednesday, that concern increased.

"I don't know what's going to happen now. Because people don't come. I don't know what's going to happen. My business is down," said Miguel Angel Sanchez, owner of My Taqueria.
