Game Creator The Sims Will Create Blockchain Games But Not For NFT Buyers

JAKARTA - The game creators of The Sims and Sim City, Will Wright, revealed that he will create blockchain games in his latest project in the future.

Wright explained that the blockchain game he will create will be intended for players, not for NFT buyers.

"I'm much more interested in attracting one million free-to-play players than 10,000 rich players, even though we can use them," Wright told Axios.

Wright's project is called VoxVerse. A virtual world located in a large cube, where players must be able to own the ground, create attractions, mine resources, and socialize.

While this game doesn't require players to buy NFT, the game will support the main character named Vox, NFT created by crypto gaming company Gala Games.

Wright did not reveal when the project would be released, which is clear, he insists that he does not want to do business at NFT sales at all.

The actual production of this game is ongoing in Unity. Gala Games has also funded the project and has spent more than USD 25 million.

"I don't really want to be in the NFT sales business," Wright said, stressing that his interest was in blockchain capabilities and safe transactions between players.
