JAKARTA - In a plan to increase user privacy while browsing the web, Mozilla via Firefox launched a new feature that allows users to have access to private exploration.

The first update includes a new shortcut button that users can pin to their desktop, which can automatically enter private browsing mode whenever they want and without the need to start a browser in regular mode first.

The design of private browsing modes has also been changed, dark modes can be enabled by default and prominent logos have been added, making it easier for users to see that they are browsing personally.

"We are rolling out a new feature that fulfills our users' promise to provide a web experience that prioritizes people's privacy and needs whenever they are online," Mozilla said in its official blog post.

With personal browsing mode, users can protect their privacy as companies try to blur online activity from other users who use Firefox browsers on the same computer.

Furthermore, Mozilla also presents Total Cookie Protection which stops cookies from tracking users on the web, as well as HTTP by default, giving users encrypted connections to websites if possible help ensure their data is safe.

Although private browsing mode protects users from other people using the same computer so they can't see their browsing history, Firefox emphasizes that this feature does not make users anonymous on the internet.

Launching ZDNet, Thursday, October 20, in addition to increasing privacy, Firefox also added several features designed to make browsers easier to use.

It's Firefox View, allowing users to view up to 25 tabs that just closed in each of their desktop windows, providing a way to easily get back to previous tasks.

The latest version of Firefox also adds two new productivity shortcuts. At PDF Editor, users can now write directly in PDF, while macOS users 10.15 and higher will also see a new Text Recognition feature, which allows text from images to be copied and reused.
