JAKARTA - China plans to launch two unmanned spacecraft on Jupiter and Uranus exploration missions by 2030. The rover mission is named Tianwen 4 which will use two large and small spacecraft. While small spacecraft will be used to explore the planet Uranus.

These two spacecraft will be launched on a Long March 5 rocket. One of the two spacecraft will enter orbit around Jupiter's moon Callisto, while others will travel to Uranus. Previously, China had succeeded in sending unmanned missions to the Moon and Mars.

SputnikNews reports that the two rides are expected to be launched into space on a Long March 5 rocket under the auspices of the Tianwen-4 mission. China has revealed details in the International Astronautical Congress in Paris by Wang Qiong of the Center for Moon Exploration and Space Engineering of China's National Space Administration.

Reportedly, the spacecraft that will be delivered to Jupiter is twice the size of the previous two spacecraft. Both will investigate Jupiter's systems and are expected to enter orbit around one of the planet's moons, Callisto.

Meanwhile, smaller spacecraft will travel further beyond the Solar System with the ultimate goal of the planet Uranus. On the other hand, China did not explain in more detail the purpose of the mission. Wang Qiong simply said that scientific goals were in the consideration stage.

The scientific goal is still under consideration, Wang told Space.com. Previous presentations indicated that China was considering focusing on Callisto as the main target that could reveal many things about the moon and history of the Jovian system, or investigating irregular Jupiter satellites that could provide insight into the early days of the solar system itself.
