The Google Maps Feature Is Missing After Queen Elizabeth II's Death

JAKARTA - Britain has not only lost Queen Elizabeth II, but also a small Easter Egg feature deliberately placed around Buckingham Palace by Google Maps.

These Easter eggs will appear if the user activates Street View on Google Maps when Pegman's character, a small yellow man appears and turns into the Queen's cartoon version.

Pegman will wear a royal dress and a crown like the king, which Google itself nicknamed PegMa'am. Unfortunately, this unique feature suddenly disappeared after Queen Elizabeth II's death some time ago.

This was first noticed by Reddit users when they realized Queen Elizabeth II's character was no longer appearing on Street View around the palace, as was the figure of PegMa'am around Windsor Castle and Balmoral Castle in Scotland.

Launching Metro, Tuesday, September 27, now if users open Street View around Buckingham Palace, then Pegman looks only in its original shape.

The Pegman character was first introduced in 2015 in honor of Queen Elizabeth II, the longest king in British history.

This particular Pegman is not only found in the UK, when users use Street View around Loch target, namely the freshwater lake in Scotland, Pegman will turn into a small version of vise, or if users are around Area 51 in the Nevada desert, Pegman will turn into a small UFO.
