JAKARTA - Google has changed its logo completely black and added black ribbons to its homepage as a sign of respect ahead of Queen Elizabeth II's state funeral, Monday 19 September.
The logo, which typically appears in bright red, yellow, blue and green, was replaced with gray text in England on September 8 - the Queen's death day.
Black bandes were also added under the logo, along with the message 'Thank you, ma'am', and the link to the 'Reflict Queen Elizabeth II's extraordinary life'.
The gray logo was gradually launched to the Google homepage in several other countries over the next few days.
However, at 00:00 WIB on Sunday, September 18, the famous logo went from gray to black specifically in England.

"At 00:00 a.m., Monday morning (England time), the #Google logo changed from gray to deep black - just before the Ratu's state funeral today," Twitter user @RealKx1 wrote, as quoted by the Daily Mail.
"This has just passed midnight in England and Google's logo has gone from gray to black," wrote @TheGayAlbino.

The funeral service at Westminster Abbey begins at 11:00 a.m. BST, and the door has been open since 08:00 a.m. to allow guests to sit down.
After the service, the Queen's coffin will be transported to Wellington Arch, where the coffin will be transferred to the hearse before traveling to Windsor Castle.
The hearse arrived at the castle just after 15:00 a.m. BST, and will travel on a procession to St George's flagship, which will be handed over by the Dean of Windsor.
The queen will then be buried in a private ceremony attended by her family at the Memorial rote of King George VI at 19.30 am. She was buried with her husband, Duke ofbatel.
