WhatsApp Is Working On A New Feature To Hide Phone Number

JAKARTA - WhatsApp is working on a new feature for its WhatsApp beta program. This new capability can be said with the visibility of phone numbers.

With this feature, business WhatsApp users will not be able to see our phone number listed. That way, they will not be able to contact us.

When you chat with a specific business that doesn't know your phone number, there will be a feature that will allow you to manually share your phone number with them, if you wish.

As you can see in the screenshot taken from WABtainfo, it shows there will be a new option in chat info that lets you know if your phone number is visible to the business.

In addition, they saw that this option appeared during WhatsApp beta development for Android 2.22.17.23 updates and desktop. So that means that WhatsApp is continuing to work on this feature across all of their platforms.

This feature may not always work when you contact other people's business WhatsApp, your phone number may be hidden when contacting business through ads in some cases.

Unfortunately, this feature is not yet available because it is still in the development process. But as usual, this feature is likely to soon be tested on limited beta testers.

It's a good idea if we wait for clarity until Meta has started testing this feature for beta testers in the future.
