JAKARTA - There is no doubt that YouTube is the most used application. In fact, based on data from parental control software Qustodio, TikTok and YouTube are the most used apps by kids and teens.

Not only for watching videos, on its blog, the company says that many people come to YouTube to shop.

Some time ago, YouTube announced its partnership with Shopify, which allows content creators to link their storefront and sell their products directly on the platform.

"We've expanded shopping access to more content creators and added more product types that can be tagged in videos so viewers can shop even more," the company wrote on its blog.

To keep content creators doing their best, YouTube is introducing a new tool within the "Shopping" tab in YouTube Studio.

This tool will make it easier for content creators to manage how their products are promoted by tagging them and appearing across their channels.

Unfortunately, this Shopping tab is now only available for content relevant to audiences in the US, Brazil and India. However, YouTube will soon launch it in more countries this year.

Additionally, all eligible creators can now access live shopping features such as the ability to tag products to a live stream directly from the Live Control Room.
