JAKARTA - The implementation of cyber security, both from systems, networks, and applications, is considered very important. Especially if the government wants to create super-apps or super-apps. This is a concern for cybersecurity experts from the Communication and Information System Security Research Center (CISSReC) Pratama Persadha.

"Equally important is the obligation to implement cyber security, both systems, networks, and applications also need to be secured. Because super-apps are good only if cyber security can be implemented optimally," said Pratama Persadha, quoted from a press release received by ANTARA in Jakarta. , Sunday.

According to Pratama, the implementation of cyber security can be done, for example by using the most up-to-date technology such as advanced encryption technology. In addition, good security also needs to be implemented not only in the application but also in the data center.

"Then, form a special HR to handle these super-apps. There is also the issue of good governance, plus government regulations in this case the strong Personal Data Protection Law," added Pratama.

Some time ago, the Minister of Communication and Information (Menkominfo) Johnny G. Plate planned to merge 24,400 existing government-owned applications into a super-apps.

According to Pratama, currently there are too many applications owned by the government. Each ministry and state agency, according to Pratama, even has a similar application with a different system.

In addition, he continued, there are also many applications or websites that have not been used for a long time but are still alive, so that they have the potential to give birth to new threats ranging from budgets, confusing data, to security systems.

“With this number of idle applications and websites, there is a lot of potential for attacks and data leaks. The system that is actively used is still an easy target. Therefore, in building super-apps, a strong team will be needed, for example from Kominfo, BSSN, BIN and other interested state institutions," said Pratama, quoted by Antara.

Not only about cyber security, Pratama also reminded that creating super-apps requires a national data center which will be the main server to process all incoming data, especially population data.

"Then what must also be prepared is a national data program, so it must be clear which data is used in these super-apps. It is hoped that from these super-apps, all ministries and institutions can collaborate on a digital platform," concluded Pratama.
