JAKARTA - Ubisoft announced that it will be disabling online services for some older games in the coming months, to be exact on September 1, 2022.

"Closing online services for some older games allows us to focus our resources on providing a great experience for players playing newer or more popular titles," the company said in its announcement.

The details of game titles that will be affected by the service deactivation per platform are as follows.

Anno 2070 – PC Assassin's Creed II – PC, PS3 Assassin's Creed 3 (2012 Release) – PC, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U Assassin's Creed Brotherhood – PC, PS3, Xbox 360 Assassin's Creed Liberation HD – PC Assassin's Creed Revelations – PS3, Xbox 360 Driver San Francisco – PC, PS3, Xbox 360 Far Cry 3 (2012 Release) – PC, PS3, Xbox 360 Ghost Recon Future Soldier – PS3, Xbox 360 Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands – PC Rayman Legends – PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U Silent Hunter 5 – PC Space Junkies – PC (HTC Vive, Oculus) Splinter Cell: Blacklist – PC, PS3, Xbox 360 ZombiU – Wii U

The titles above are mostly games that date back to two generations of older consoles, and this disabling of the online service shouldn't come as much of a surprise to you.

As part of the process, players will not be able to play in multiplayer mode, link Ubisoft accounts in the game, nor will they be able to use online features. While the PC versions of all these games will lose access to the DLC.
