JAKARTA - Microsoft's video conferencing service, Microsoft Teams, has confirmed that it will be able to present many participants in one meeting. In fact, this service can accommodate 1,000 people in one video conference.

Quoting Neowin, Monday November 2, at the moment, the service can only accommodate 300 people, but that may not be enough for larger organizations looking to conduct virtual company-wide meetings. Microsoft Teams services are also useful for online meetings, webinars, or group video calls.

In fact, the announcement of the increase in the number of participants to 1,000 people was introduced last July, and it was only in November that Microsoft would officially announce it.

Like other video conferencing services, Microsoft Teams has seen an increase in users as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, with many companies forced to close offices and undertake remote work. Last month, Microsoft said its software now has 115 million daily active users.

For users who later want to enjoy this feature, users must be charged an additional 12 US dollars per month, because the 1,000-participant feature will be included in the Microsoft Advanced Communications add-on package for Teams.

In addition, Microsoft also plans to add 20,000 participants in a video conference call starting January next year. Teams users will also be allowed to host up to 50 events simultaneously and each event can last up to 16 hours.

Business competition in the midst of a pandemic is often carried out by Microsoft Teams and also its competitors such as Zoom and Google Meet. Zoom has also recently added end to end encrypted security features.
