JAKARTA – One of the film studios from Japan, Noma, recently announced that it would launch a trilogy film about cryptocurrency entitled The Rhetoric Star. The film will be released in 2024.

Reporting from Cointelegraph, Noma founder and film producer Taicho Ito stated that the film trilogy aims to convey knowledge about the crypto industry through creative storytelling.

Additionally, Ito is proud to share that their team is working with Bitcoin (BTC) expert and award-winning sound designer Sefi Carmel. He also expressed his belief that The Rhetoric Star will “change the way” audiences learn about crypto.

The film series is also being produced by Mai Fujimoto, CEO of Tokyo-based blockchain company Gracone, and Ryo Nakatsuji, an executive at Japanese publisher CoinPost. Meanwhile, Japanese animator Haruna Gohzu, who has worked on popular anime such as Pokémon, Fairy Tail and Demon Slayer, will lead the animation for the film.

Sefi Carmel, who designed the sound for the film, mentioned that the team wanted to create a series that conveys insights from the world's crypto experts to the masses in a "creative and accessible way." He said he was honored to join the team and excited as the world headed for a “virtual future that relies on blockchain, cryptocurrencies, NFT and the like.”

Back in February, blockchain-branded gaming company Animoca launched a Japan-based subsidiary to convert Japanese content into NFT. This includes content from anime such as Dragon Ball and My Hero Academia. Apart from anime, the company will also explore content from games, arts, and sports.

In April, Japan's largest social messaging app, Line, launched the NFT marketplace in partnership with Japanese entertainment company Yoshimoto Kogyo. The social platform notes that it will offer up to 40,000 NFT to its user base.
