JAKARTA - After previewing the feature in beta in April, WhatsApp is now rolling out features related to privacy controls globally to all users.
In a tweet, WhatsApp announced that the privacy control feature will include setting who can see your Profile, Last Seen, About, and Status photos.
"Now you can choose who from your contact list can see the status of Profile Photo, About and Last Seen," the company wrote on social media Twitter, quoted Sunday, June 19.
If previously you only saw share options for Everyone, My Contacts and Nobody, now WhatsApp update adds one more option which is "My Contacts Except."
WhatsApp says that the addition of this option is intended to keep the privacy of its users safe.
"To further protect your privacy online, we are launching a new option for your privacy control settings."
WhatsApp has added several updates to its app. The latest is that you can now transfer WhatsApp chat history from Android to iPhone.
