JAKARTA - Earlier this month, Twitter reportedly tested the Circle feature. Even now it seems that not a few users have been able to access this feature.

The Circle feature is similar to Instagram's Close Friends feature, where users can send tweets only to a certain group of people rather than making them public tweets.

“We are currently testing Twitter Circle with a group of people on iOS, Android and the Web globally. This feature is not yet widely rolled out to everyone as we (still) continue to collect feedback," said Twitter spokesman Joseph Nunez.

Therefore, it is not known for sure how many users feel the trial of this feature. However, if you want to check if you have access to the Circle feature, you can update the Twitter app first.

Once updated and you're a user in this trial, you'll see a drop-down menu that says Everyone and Twitter Circle when you tweet.

From there, you can then select the Circle feature to limit your tweets to certain users only. You can also select Edit to add or remove people from your Circle. Twitter will not notify the user if you add or remove them.

Launching The Verge, Monday, May 30, you can add up to 150 users to Circle, whether they follow you or not. Users in Circle will see notes added to Circle-only tweets (and vice versa).

"Only people in Circle Twitter @(yourusername) can see this tweet," the note reads.

With the presence of this feature, users will feel like tweeting with a locked account that is not public. Users on Circle will also not be able to retweet anything uploaded, but they will still be able to take screenshots and download tweets.
