JAKARTA - Some time ago the Spaces tab was present in the iOS version of the trial on its mobile application, now Twitter is starting to expand the Spaces trial to Android users.

The Spaces tab itself helps users find popular Spaces from around the world and search for the ones that match their interests. Unfortunately, this tab is only available in English.

If the user has access to the trial, the user can open the Spaces tab by tapping the newly added microphone icon at the bottom of the interface.

Twitter started testing Spaces in December last year. This is a Clubhouse-style live audio feature, where users can have conversations in a dedicated audio room that can involve other people.

The website added a new way to make Spaces more prominent and easier to find in the app. Back in July last year, it also added the ability to compose a new tweet directly from Space, which would link directly to the audio chat.

Since Twitter started testing live audio in late 2020, the company has quickly switched its social media formats. Starting from features like audio recording then launching Spaces as a trial version.

Previously, Twitter also added an option for users to share co-hosting tasks. It comes as the company works to give all users the option to host a Space.
