JAKARTA - Twitter launches the exclusive Spaces feature for paid followers or Super Follows. This feature will be a new way for user accounts with Super Follows to offer extra conversations to their biggest supporters.

Global users on iOS and Android will be able to join in and request to speak in Super Follows-only Spaces, while subscribers on the Twitter web platform can join in and listen, but have no option to request a talk.

Creators can start their special Super Follows Spaces by selecting the “Only Super Followers can join” button when starting a new Space.

However, users who are not Super Following creators will still see Space but cannot access it unless they are subscribed.

This new exclusive Spaces feature is more precisely targeted at Super Followers, who so far only have one advantage over regular followers, namely exclusive tweets.

Now they will also have special Spaces that only their Super Follows can attend, allowing the content creator to host smaller, more private Spaces if he or she wishes.

Twitter says it plans to roll out more Super Follows features to allow content creators to grow and get closer to their most engaged followers.

Super Follows, which was first revealed in February 2021, is an option for users who want to subscribe to accounts they love for a monthly subscription fee in exchange for exclusive content.

Super Follows is currently in testing with select content creators in the United States (US) on iOS. Eligible accounts can set a price for a Super Follow subscription with options from $2.99 to $9.99 to $9.99 a month.

It should be noted that this feature is separate from the Ticketed Spaces feature, where content creators can set a ticket price for each Space, and is accessible to anyone who pays for a ticket.
