JAKARTA – The application to protect your rights is now being intensively socialized by the Indonesian General Elections Commission (KPU). Through this application, KPU Commissioner Evi Novida Ginting Manik invites all Indonesians to ensure that they are registered as voters in the 2024 General Election.

“Friends of Indonesian voters, the voting date for the 2024 General Election is Wednesday, February 14, 2024. Make sure you remember it and come to the polling station (TPS). Previously, you also had to make sure you were registered as a voter for the 2024 election. Use the Protect Your Rights application to find out whether you are registered and whether your data is correct, "said Evi, quoted from Antara.

He stated this when he was a resource person in the Indonesian KPU Podcast entitled "Prepare Sirekap for the 2024 Election" which was broadcast on the KPU RI Youtube channel, in Jakarta, Saturday.

Evi also said that if people find themselves not registered as voters in the 2024 election, they can also register themselves through the Protect Your Rights application. "If you haven't registered yet, you can register through Protect Your Rights," said Evi.

In addition, Evi appealed to the public to always seek information related to elections, so that they can use their right to vote properly in the 2024 General Election.

Protect Your Rights is one of the applications launched by the KPU RI on Wednesday, February 13, in line with the spirit of Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning General Elections (Pemilu) and the follow-up to KPU Regulation (PKPU) Number 6 of 2021 concerning Continuous Updates.

These regulations mandate the KPU to carry out continuous updating of voter data. The Protect Your Rights application presents some information related to elections, such as the number of voters in Indonesia, the number of voters in the province, district/city, to the number of voters at the polling station level in Indonesia.

This application is a medium for the public to check whether they are registered or not on the permanent voter list.
