JAKARTA – MetaMask released an update that allows iPhone and Apple Pay users to buy crypto using a credit card through a smartphone application. This latest update was announced by MetaMask via its official Twitter social media on Monday, March 29.

The main feature of this update is the ability to buy cryptocurrencies using a debit or credit card via the mobile app. As such, this update will eliminate the need to transfer Ethereum from a centralized exchange like Coinbase into the app.

MetaMask uses two payment gateways, namely Wyre and Transak, to support transactions using credit or debit cards. Users of the digital wallet can now use Visa and Mastercard linked to Apple Pay to buy Ethereum. The maximum deposit per day is 400 US dollars or IDR 5.7 million into their wallet.
