JAKARTA - Developers and modders or people who modify games, WistfulHopes released a number of mods for Guilty Gear Strive which were released last year. Recently they have managed to add a full character to the game.

While not a playable mod, or not yet playable, WistfulHopes released a video on its Twitter of Goku battling in Guilty Gear Strive. Usually, most mod characters in games like Strive are just added as cosmetic skins on top of existing characters.

As for Goku, by WistfulHopes this was made for Strive from the ground up. WistfulHopes explained in the comments that he had to build certain DBFZ mechanics from scratch, including super dash.

He then posted a follow-up video showing more of Goku's gameplay, adding special moves.

Launching from GameSpot, this mod includes a complete custom move set based on the previous game, as well as unique animations, colors, and new designs for the characters. A beta version of the mod with additional updates is also available for supporters on Ko-fi.

Another project that WistfulHopes has released is Guilty Gear Strive Plus, an expansive mod to balance the existing game roster, and moves from previous Guilty Gear games.
