University Of Indonesia Supports Digital Talent Preparation

DEPOK - The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia supports the preparation of digital talents through the Artificial Intelligence Center Indonesia (AiCI), an institution that focuses on developing human resources in the field of artificial intelligence. As quoted in a university press release received in Depok, Saturday 19 February , Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia Dede Djuhana said that in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 human resources with expertise in artificial intelligence and data science are needed by industry as well as research institutions and state institutions. "Nowadays the development of the industrial revolution 4.0 is very massive. Various activities, both research and industry, really need data science and AI (artificial intelligence), so if we look at this, of course, Indonesia needs several strategies in order to create quality human resources in these fields," he said. as Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia is collaborating with PT Artificial Intelligence Indonesia to prepare talents in the field of AI from elementary school to university level. "In order to have basic provisions and competencies in studying various AI applications in the future," he said .

Director of AiCI Djati Handoko explained that the preparation of digital talents was carried out, among others, through programs that included technology learning activities, workshops, coaching, and exhibitions for students. The program was carried out for five months with a team of tutors from AiCI, which included alumni of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. University of Indonesia​​​​​ and professionals. Meanwhile, the Head of the Certified Independent Study and Internship Program of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Tutus Kusuma said that Indonesia needs around nine million digital talents in the next 15 years. Meeting this need, he said, requires collaboration and synergy with universities and other related institutions.
