JAKARTA - Chairman of the Central KONI Marciano Norman said the final match of the Papua PON men's soccer match between the host and Aceh would be attended by a maximum of 50 percent of the audience from the capacity of the Mandala Stadium.

"We will try later when the (stadium gate) opens, a maximum of 50 percent," Marciano said when meeting with the media in Jayapura, Wednesday.

Even so, later in the field it will be seen again how the conditions and situations occur because there may be great interest from the community.

In addition, in the end the final decision regarding the maximum capacity of spectators who may attend the final of the Papua PON for men's soccer will be made by the Kapolda.

"But we have to look at the situation, sometimes the public's interest is too much, we negotiate with the police officers. There are various considerations, of course the decision will be with the Kapolda," explained Marciano.

Furthermore, in order to avoid crowds around the stadium, KONI plans to install large screens at several points which are expected to suppress public attendance at the stadium.

"Because we're trying to make, big screens outside, in several places, so they don't all have to come to the stadium," Marciano said.

The final match will be held at the Mandala Stadium, Jayapura, Thursday at 19:00 WIT. Previously, Papua PON football spectators were only allowed 25 percent of the stadium's capacity.
