West Ham Vs Rapid Vienna: Declan Rice Is Getting Used To Scoring Goals

JAKARTA - Two European matches in his career, Declan Rice maintained a perfect record with two wins and scored one goal each.

The West Ham United midfielder completed their Europa League Group H opener at Dinamo Zagreb two weeks ago with another goal as his side beat Rapid Vienna 2-0 at the London Stadium on Friday morning.

The opener against the Austrian club came in the 29th minute from Michail Antonio's low cross. At the end of the match, Saïd Benrahma doubled the Hammers' win to close their night of success.

"It was amazing," he beamed during the game after launching West Ham's official website. "We know as players how important the game is and we have to put in our best performance. We also have to win, of course, because all we want to do is top this group.

"We take it one by one and after getting the win in Zagreb, winning again tonight was very good for the players and the fans."

Rice revealed he has a feeling he will score again on Thursday night, and said once again how special it is he has played alongside Mark Noble in midfield.

"It was funny - when I found out I was playing with Nobes tonight I told him I was going to try and 'bomb' a little bit tonight, and I told him I was going to score!" player number 41 added.

“When the opportunity came, I saw there was little room to run as the game built up. If you don't run, you don't get a chance and scoring again is a very nice feeling. Hopefully I can score goals every week!

"Nobes is special, I've spent six seasons with him, the first two seasons as a kid and four seasons playing with the first team. I've learned a lot playing alongside him, seeing what he's like as a person and a man. There is nothing better to learn from him and I will cherish every opportunity I get to play with him as this is his last season."
