Milan Vs Atletico Madrid: Los Colchoneros Win Dramatically

JAKARTA - Atletico Madrid made a dramatic comeback when they visited AC Milan in the Champions League Group B continued at the San Siro, Wednesday morning. Los Colchoneros won 2-1.

Reporting Antara, Milan had taken the lead thanks to Rafael Leao's goal, before Atletico turned things around thanks to two goals in stoppage time from Antoine Griezmann and Luis Suarez.

The game is running at a slow tempo. Both Milan and Atletico played cautiously in the first 10 minutes.

The first threat was made by Milan in the 17th minute. Brahim Diaz fired a left footed shot from outside the penalty box which was blocked by goalkeeper Jan Oblak.

Two minutes later, it was Ante Rebic's turn to spread danger with his right foot after taking advantage of Diaz's pass, which Oblak again blocked.

Milan took the lead in the 21st minute through Rafael Leao's shot after maximizing Diaz's pass from a corner kick. The score became 1-0.

While leading, Milan actually had to play with 10 men in the 29th minute because Franck Kessie got a second yellow card.

Superior in the number of players, Atletico began to press Milan. Several chances came before the break, but no goals were scored. The temporary score is still 1-0.

In the second half, Atletico controlled the game and created many chances.

Geoffrey Kondogbia and Luis Suarez became a nightmare for Milan at the start of the second half. Both threatened a lot, but Atletico could not equalize.

Milan's defensive discipline managed to counter Atletico's efforts from Rodrigo De Paul and Joao Felix.

Continue to press, Atletico can finally get a goal. In the 84th minute, Antoine Griezmann was able to continue Renan Lodi's pass into a goal against Milan with a flick of his left foot. The score is 1-1.

Atletico's persistence paid off, they managed to turn things around in the 90+3 minute through Luis Suarez's goal.

Pierre Kalulu had a handball in the restricted area and the referee awarded a penalty to Atletico. Luis Suarez advanced to be the executor and could beat Mike Maignan to make the visitors turn 2-1 ahead.

This position lasted until the game broke up and Atletico had the right to bring home the three points from the San Siro.

This result makes Milan in fourth position because they have not packed any points in Group B from two matches. While Atletico are now collecting 4 points, and are runners up under Liverpool.
