JAKARTA - Karim Benzema still has a chance to win the Pichichi trophy as the top scorer in La Liga this season.

The Real Madrid striker is currently in second place with 19 goals - three goals behind Lionel Messi's goal.

Los Blancos have a big chance of winning the La Liga trophy and Thibaut Courtois is close to the Zamora trophy. This means that the Pichichi for Benzema will feel perfect for Los Blancos.

Real Madrid players know what winning the Pichichi means for Benzema, so they will try everything to help the French players achieve it.

Benzema's recent appearance shows that the former Lyon striker is more likely to increase his tally than Messi. The Barcelona forward has not scored in his last three games and, as Quique Setien admits, needs rest.

What made Benzema even more challenged was the fact that he only scored twice from the spot. Compare that to the Argentine Messi's five penalty goals.
