JAKARTA - Arsenal's search for a new playmaker has brought star Levante into the conversation. Who is he?

Arsenal have made a bid for the North Macedonia international, and according to reports coming out of Spain, the Gunners appear to be continuing to prepare themselves for a replacement for Mesut Ozil.

Bardhi is in his third season at Levante, after joining from Hungarian club Ujpest in 2017. He scored 14 goals in La Liga to help his team stay in the competition.

He has scored five goals this season, the last of which was scored in the 1-2 defeat to Athletic Bilbao on Sunday. This saw him scoring three goals in his last six matches.

Bardhi also scored twice in the Euro 2020 qualifier, playing a big part as North Macedonia finished ahead of Slovenia and Israel in their group. He scored the same number of goals when his country topped the Nations League group to ensure qualification for the play-offs.

Back in his first season in Spain, he scored nine goals which caught the attention of the public, five of which were scored from direct free kicks. His productivity decreased in the second season (3 goals) and the third season (5 goals).

Even though the playmaker's shooting rate has decreased, he is still dangerous from set pieces. Yes, he can also give Arsenal something if Ozil really leaves.
