Detained To A Draw With Granada, Barcelona Locked In 8th Position

JAKARTA - Barcelona had to be willing to share one point in their 1-1 draw with Granada in the fifth week of La Liga at Camp Nou, Tuesday morning.

Launching Antara, Granada surprised the hosts through Domingos Duarte's quick goal when the game had only been running for two minutes. Domingos Duarte scored with a header after receiving Sergio Escudero's pass. The visitors lead 1-0.

Left behind by one goal, Barcelona appeared to attack to balance the position. Sergi Roberto's kick ball in the 19th minute still hit the Granada goal post.

Barcelona got another golden opportunity before halftime. Memphis Depay sent a free-kick into the penalty area which was met with a headed header from Ronald Araujo, unfortunately the ball was saved by goalkeeper Luis Maximiano.

There were no additional goals until the first half ended. Barcelona trailed 0-1 from Granada.

Barcelona did not slacken their attack in the second half to find the equaliser, but Granada's tight defense is still difficult to break down for the home team.

In the 79th minute, Barcelona threatened through Luuk de Jong's header in the penalty box. However, the experiment of the Dutch striker still has not met the target.

The heat between players occurred in the Granada penalty box in the 86th minute after the visitors were emotional because they thought Ronald Araujo had dived to get a penalty.

Barcelona finally equalized one minute before normal time ran out. Araujo broke into Granada's goal through a header after receiving a pass from Pablo Gavira's stomach.

A 1-1 draw lasted until the game was over.

This result makes Barcelona stuck in seventh position standings with the acquisition of 8 points. Meanwhile, Granada sits in 17th place with 3 points.
