JAKARTA - Coach Marco Rose admits Borussia Dortmund still need to hone their match-management skills after beating Union Berlin 4-2 in the Bundesliga at Signal Iduna Park on Sunday night.

Dortmund took a 3-0 lead over Union but came close to providing momentum for the visitors who scored twice before Erling Haaland scored his second to stop the momentum.

"This team has a lot of quality players, they are also intuitively able to make a lot of good decisions," said Rose after the match, quoted from Antara from Dortmund's official website.

"But there are still some aspects that we have to work on. We were in complete control of the game to lead 3-0 and probably could have gone further ahead.

"But then we let Union bounce back after awarding the penalty and failed to anticipate the cross," he added.

Dortmund captain Marco Reus also admitted that his team was a bit off guard after winning 3-0 and almost wasting a good performance in the first 60-70 minutes.

"We have to fix it immediately, because that kind of thing can make a good performance 60-70 minutes before go to waste," he said.

"We're obviously happy to win, but things like that can't drag on. We can't just concede goals. We have to be more mature and can anticipate set pieces better," concluded Reus.

The win keeps Dortmund in third place with 12 points, one point adrift of Bayern Munich and VfL Wolfsburg above them.

Dortmund will next travel to Borussia Park to face Borussia Moenchengladbach, Rose's former team, on Saturday.
