James And Zidane's Complicated Relationship And The Chances Of Winning Real Madrid

JAKARTA - Zinedine Zidane and James Rodriguez have a complicated relationship. The Real Madrid playmaker spoke up about it recently and complained about his lack of playing minutes under Zidane this season.

In Wednesday's pre-match press conference, French coach Zizou was asked if he was bothered by James's comments, as well as his public criticism of the lack of playing opportunities.

"He's telling the truth, he wants to play more and that's normal," Zidane told MARCA on Thursday.

"I understand that.

"He's here, he's training and we'll continue to the end like this."

Zidane also insisted that although Barcelona drew 2-2 with Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night, the title race is not over.

Los Blancos host Getafe at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano on Thursday and, if they win, they can open up a four-point lead over Barcelona. Apart from that, they also have a head-to-head advantage.

Without a doubt, Zidane knows that Real Madrid cannot take anything for granted.

"We haven't won anything yet," said Zidane. We have six games (remaining). Eighteen points.

"Until we win mathematically, we have to keep going. But the opponent will do whatever it takes to win the game.

"I've been in this situation as a player. We haven't won anything at all."
