The Polemic With PSSI Ended, When Did Shin Tae-yong Go To Indonesia?

JAKARTA - The polemic between the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) and Shin Tae-yong has ended. Now the presence of the Indonesian national team coach in Indonesia is awaited by the public and also PSSI.

The Chairman of PSSI, Mochamad Iriawan, hopes that the Korean man will arrive in the early week of July. The preparation for the national team, said Iriawan, is just a matter of waiting for Shin Tae-yong's presence. This is because a new roadmap is needed in preparation for the Garuda squad.

In his interview with Yonhap News, Shin Tae-yong revealed that he had spoken with Ketum PSSI. He also said that he would return to Indonesia in accordance with PSSI's request. That means, the former Korean national team coach will arrive in Indonesia in the early week of July.

The 51-year-old man will also send a roadmap for a new training program. He emphasized that it has become a priority for the coaching team to improve the quality of the players.

Shin Tae-yong also no longer has a problem with the location of the Indonesian national team's training camp (TC). He will comply with PSSI's wishes to hold training in Indonesia. Reportedly, the Indonesian National Team TC will be held at the Madya Stadium, Senayan, Jakarta.

Shin Tae-yong and the Indonesian national team coaching staff, namely Kim Hae-woon, Kim Woo-jae, Lee Jae-hong, and Gong Oh-kyun have been in Korea since last April. This was after the COVID-19 pandemic broke out in Indonesia.

Initially, Shin Tae-yong was reluctant to return to Indonesia in the near future. This is because the number of positive cases in the country continues to increase, even reaching more than 1000 cases. However, the coach finally softened up after talking heart to heart with Ketum PSSI.
