Harry Kane Comes, Tottenham Qualify For Conference League Group Stage

JAKARTA - Two goals scored by Harry Kane led Tottenham Hotspur to step into the group stage of the Conference League. Spurs won 3-0 over Pacos de Ferreira in the second leg of the play-off at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London, Thursday local time.

Launching Antara, Kane's two goals were then followed by an own goal by Vitorino Antunes which made Tottenham overturn the aggregate to 3-1.

Kane, who only this week reaffirmed his commitment to staying at Tottenham, gave the hosts the lead when the second leg was just nine minutes old.

Controlling Bryan Gil's cross, Kane made one touch before flicking the ball under goalkeeper Andre Ferreira.

In the 33rd minute Gil came close to doubling Tottenham's lead when his shot hit the post but a minute later Kane actually made it 2-0 after tucking in Ferreira's deflected effort from Giovani Lo Celso.

Dominant Tottenham got their third goal in the 70th minute when Lo Celso's free-kick swerved into Antunes' head, sending Ferreira out of the way before nestling into the visitors' goal.

In the first leg last week, coach Nuno Espirito Santo did not bring Kane to Portugal and decided to rest Son Heung-min thus making Tottenham's attack dull and losing 0-1.
