Champions League Drawing Results: Manchester City Vs PSG, Barcelona Vs Bayern Munich

JAKARTA - Manchester City will meet Paris Saint-Germain in this season's Champions League after being placed in Group A based on the results of the draw conducted by UEFA in Istanbul, Turkey, Thursday evening local time.

The meeting of two teams who have risen in class in the last decade thanks to an injection of funds from the Middle East will be the main dish of Group A which is also inhabited by German club RB Leipzig and Belgian representatives Club Brugge.

Liverpool and AC Milan, who have met twice in the Champions League final, will return to play after being placed in Group B.

Group B is also arguably going to be one of the hellish groups because it is also inhabited by Spanish champions Atletico Madrid and Portugal's most successful team Porto.

In Group C there is one club that owns the Badge of Honour, Ajax, which is placed alongside Portuguese champions Sporting CP, German representatives Borussia Dortmund and Turkish champions Besiktas.

Sheriff Tiraspol, who became the first Moldovan club to appear in the main draw of the Champions League, was drawn in Group D along with giants Inter Milan and Real Madrid and Ukrainian representatives Shakhtar Donetsk.

Bayern Munich and Barcelona are the main highlights of Group E, along with Portuguese club Benfica and Ukrainian team Dynamo Kiev.

Manchester United, who lost to Villarreal last season in the Europa League final, will have the opportunity to make two comebacks when they meet in Group F this season, which also includes Italian representatives Atalanta and Swiss champions Young Boys.

Group G is arguably one of the groups that will give birth to a surprise team because it contains Lille, Sevilla, Red Bull Salzburg and VfL Wolfsburg.

Meanwhile defending champions Chelsea are in Group H, placed alongside Juventus, Zenit St. Petersburg and Malmo FF from Sweden.

The first week of Champions League matches this season will take place on September 14 and 15 in a detailed schedule that will be announced later by UEFA.
