Grab Indonesia Gives Greysia/Apriyani Prizes IDR 500 Million Each And Shopping At GrabFood IDR 42 Million

JAKARTA - Technology company Grab Indonesia gave a cash prize of IDR 1 billion to Greysia Polii and Apriyani Rahayu who won gold medals in women's doubles badminton at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

In addition to Greysia/Apriyani, who each received Rp500 million, Grab Indonesia also awarded Rp100 million to women's doubles coach Eng Hian, who contributed to helping her foster children achieve proud achievements at the world sports event in Japan.

"Congratulations and a big thank you to Greysia Polii and Apriyani Rahayu for the gold medals that have succeeded in making Indonesia's new history at the Olympics. It's like an extraordinary surprise gift for all Indonesian people in the midst of grief and difficult times at this time," said Country Managing Director of Grab Indonesia Neneng Goenadi in a written statement released by Antara, Tuesday.

According to Neneng, the pride that Greysia/Apriyani gave to the Indonesian nation was immeasurable in numbers, not to mention all other sports athletes competing in the Tokyo Olympics.

"They continue to inspire and motivate us all about the importance of being united for Indonesia. As part of society, we want to be able to give a little appreciation and respect," he added.

To Greysia/Apriyani and coach Eng Hian, as well as all Indonesian athletes who won silver and bronze medals at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Grab also expressed appreciation for shopping at GrabFood for a year, each worth Rp42 million.

President of Grab Indonesia, Ridzki Kramadibrata, expressed his high respect for all the athletes who have struggled to make Indonesia proud in the world.
