The Development Of Michael Schumacher's Condition Is Still Very Secret

JAKARTA - The development of Michael Schumacher's health condition, who had a ski accident in 2013, is still very secret. However, the latest news says that the former Formula 1 world champion will undergo surgery.

After returning to his home, Schumy - as he was called - completely disappeared from public view. His family members asked Schumacher's condition to be kept secret.

According to a report published by Contro Copertina, the German man will undergo further stem cell transfusions. Cardiologist Philippe Menasche will lead the operation.

"The goal (of this operation) is to regenerate Michael's central nervous system," explained Menasche. Launching MARCA, Thursday, June 11.

Meanwhile, Dr. Nicola Acciari, a neurosurgeon at Bellaria Hospital in Bologna, warned that the former Ferrari driver was suffering from muscle atrophy and osteoporosis.

"In the last 20 years, science has progressed rapidly in the field of stem cell treatment, but that doesn't change the fact that we know very little about the human brain," Acciardi warns.

"We can't predict what results this treatment will produce."

Schumacher's former Ferrari teammate Felipe Massa recently visited Schumacher at his home in Switzerland. He said his colleague's condition was still very complex.

"I know him (Schumacher), I have information (about his condition) and my relationship with him is very close," he emphasized.

"I rarely have contact with his wife, Corinna, because he doesn't go to the races very often. But we all know that the situation is not easy, he is in difficult times, but we have to respect whatever his family demands."

"I have had (communication) with the (Schumacher) family, they don't want to divulge information, so what right do I have to reveal Schumacher's current condition?"

As a side note, Massa was Schumacher's teammate at Ferrari for a short time. However, Schumy also served as an advisor to the team when the Brazilian rider contested the title in 2008.
