JAKARTA - The 2020 Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) competition is planned to be continued in September. That means, the club must start preparing for training to be competitive when the IBL starts.
NSH Jakarta is one of the teams that have prepared a program to start training. However, the capital club was stricken with confusion.
The reason is, the government has not allowed sports activities to be carried out indoors. According to the NSH Manager, Yusuf Arlan, training will not be optimal if it is done outdoors.
"Outdoor training is not very good, players are prone to injury. If indoor is not allowed, it is very troublesome,"
NSH manager, Yusuf Arlan
Arlan added, the training time will be very limited if done outdoors. Training can only take place in the afternoon, it also depends on weather conditions.
He then explained that ideally the team had started training in July and in the following month it would be full training. The reason is, it is impossible for players to immediately be encouraged to practice after a long holiday.
"At least July has started training, because September has started playing. The problem is, in July the field can be used or not," said Arlan.
As previously reported, the IBL Operators and all clubs are planning to hold another virtual meeting to discuss the continuation of the fate of the competition which was stopped due to the COVID-19 event.
