TD Volleyball Indoor Sports, Regi Nelwan said, after attending a virtual meeting with the PB PON Work Result Inspection Team (PPHP), the carpet for the volleyball match field was in accordance with international standards and specifications.
"We have seen the goods, even though we went through a 'zoom meeting', the goods are in accordance with international specifications and standards," said Regi in a written statement in Jayapura, Monday, as reported by Antara.
According to him, the carpet purchased from France has the Gerflor Type brand Taraflex Evolution (Tx Evolution) and is the same as that used in the Asian championship, Pro League and even the same brand as the one used at the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games.
"All indoor volleyball equipment is according to specifications, it is also based on input from us as TD, and we believe the recommended equipment is very qualified, not only nationally, but also internationally," said Regi.
He also hopes that the provider will immediately send the equipment to Jayapura, so that it can be directly installed in the arena. The reason is that volleyball has scheduled a test event in August.

He added that PB APTI had a set of Gerflor brand carpets and used it for the pre-qualification of the XX Papua PON which was held in Purwokerto, Central Java, on October 20-24 2019.
