Viral, Tokyo Olympics Use Cardboard Mattresses To Prevent Sex Between Athletes

JAKARTA - Paul Chelimo shared a number of photos in the media about questions that immediately became the focus of netizens.

The United States long-distance runner revealed about the mattresses available in the village of the Tokyo Olympic athletes.

"The beds that will be installed in the Olympic Athlete Village will be made of cardboard, this aims to avoid intimacy between athletes," Chelimo tweeted on his @paulchelimo account.

"The bed will be able to support the weight of one person to avoid situations outside of sports (sex)."

Half joking, the 30-year-old athlete then said it would not apply to long-distance athletes who have lightweights.

"I see no problem for long-distance runners, even the four of us can sleep."

Chelimo's tweet came after the organizers implemented compliance with health protocols related to the COVID-19 pandemic situation.
