Mocking England Supporters After Italy Wins Euro 2020, Bonucci: It's Coming To Rome!

JAKARTA - Leonardo Bonucci mocked England fans after Italy beat the Three Lions 3-2 on penalties to win Euro 2020.

The match ended 1-1 for the full 120 minutes, with Bonucci equalizing in the second half from Luke Shaw's early opener in the 2nd minute.

Italy also fell behind in the shootout before Marcus Rashford's shot hit the post and efforts from Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka were stopped.

While celebrating the title, Bonucci mocked England fans by shouting: “More pasta! We need to eat more pasta!”

In addition, the 34-year-old defender grabbed the camera and shouted: "It's coming to Rome!" referring to the slogan "It's Coming Home" used by Three Lions fans to declare that their team will win this tournament.

In a more serious interview with RAI Sports, Bonucci said that receiving the trophy in a nearly empty stadium was "something to really enjoy."

"The historic goal is a dream come true and credit goes to the coach, the whole squad," he said after Monday's game.

“When we gathered in Sardinia, there was something different from the past. We slowly gain confidence, certainty, unity. It's the sweetener that makes us legends."

"It's a unique feeling and we enjoy it. Watching 65,000 people leave before the trophy was handed over was a delight, now it's coming to Rome. They think it's living in London, sorry for them, but Italy has once again taught a lesson."
