JAKARTA - PP PBSI has ensured that the Indonesian badminton team is healthy and ready to go to Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan, to undergo a training camp before competing in the Tokyo Olympics.

Head of the Development and Achievement Division of PP PBSI Rionny Mainaky ensured that 11 Indonesian badminton athletes are ready to compete in the Tokyo Olympics which will start on 23 July.

"In preparation, I see that all the players and the coach are well and focused. Even with difficult circumstances like this, they are not disturbed," said Rionny on the official PBSI website as reported by Antara, Wednesday.

"Everyone's condition is also healthy and I make sure all the players are ready to compete. I also make sure that Indonesia sends the best team currently available," he continued.

The Indonesian badminton team has undergone a series of medical tests, including periodic PCR tests, for four consecutive days from Sunday, July 4 to this Wednesday.

"We have undergone two PCR tests, from last Sunday and Monday. Praise God the results are good. This Tuesday (yesterday) and Wednesday we have the PCR test again to fulfill administrative requirements," said Rionny.

PBSI in its announcement also released 25 names consisting of players, coaches, and officials who will go to Japan. However, out of these 25 names, there is no mixed doubles head coach, Richard Mainaky.
