Persipura's Explanation About The Removal Of PON Ambassador Boaz Salossa From The Black Pearl Squad

JAKARTA - Persipura Jayapura chairman Benhur Tomi Mano (BTM) admits that his two flagship players, Boaz Salossa and Tinus Pae (Tipa) are officially no longer strengthening the Mutiara Hitam team to navigate the 2021 Liga 1 season.

"It's true. Boaz and Tipa are no longer playing with Persipura. This is the decision of the management and coach," said BTM when confirmed by Antara in Jayapura, Papua, Tuesday night.

According to him, the removal of the two mainstay players was carried out after there was input from the coach for violations or disciplinary actions taken.

BTM admits that what is being done is not easy, but it still has to be done and has been conveyed to both of them.

"Initially this case was not disclosed to the public with various considerations, one of which was Boaz Salossa's status as an PON Ambassador so that it was only for internal consumption considering they are an important part of Persipura's history and achievements," said BTM added

The man who is the mayor of Jayapura explained the reason for the release of Bochi and Tipa (the two are known as close friends) while admitting that he had hoped and waited for change because they would be an example for young players.

However, the two of them did not change so it was with a heavy heart that it was decided to no longer graze with Persipura. BTM hopes that both of them can find a new club soon.

"We wish the best for Bochi and Tipa at the new club, because players with their quality will easily get a place, in fact Persipura will find it difficult to get quality players like them, but there is something that must be maintained, namely this team, be it coaches, players, officials. and the atmosphere must be conducive," concluded BTM.
