JAKARTA - Serie A is estimated to suffer a loss of more than 700 million euros if the plan to return to competition is not realized. This was stated by the President of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC), Gabriele Gravina in an official statement.
Italy's top competition has been suspended since March due to the outbreak of COVID-19, and Gravina says the football division has suffered losses of more than 500 million euros.
As the FIGC prepares to meet with Spaghetti's State sports minister to discuss plans for a resumption of matches starting June 13, Gravina warned of the financial consequences of an extended suspension period.

Meanwhile, Serie A club Bologna said an unnamed member of their staff was suspected of having contracted COVID-19. Thus, the entire squad will undergo training in isolated camps if the individual test tests positive.
A statement on the club's website said: "Recent tests carried out by the team group reveal a suspected positive case of COVID-19 in relation to a staff member.
"Waiting for further analysis, the team will continue training individually and at different times tomorrow as a precautionary measure, without using a shared space.
"If confirmed positive, the team group will be kept in an isolated training camp."
