JAKARTA - The virtual MotoGP Grand Prix will hold its fifth series this weekend. The riders will again compete their skills in controlling their motorbikes through the MotoGP 20 video game on one of the most challenging tracks, Silverstone, England.

Launching the official MotoGP page, the virtual British Grand Prix will be broadcast live, Sunday 31 May on a number of social media channels and the official motogp.com website starting at 20:00 WIB.

The MotoGP class will kick off a series of virtual races that day, followed by the Moto2 and Moto3 series.

Eight riders will compete in the MotoGP class, including five times world champion Jorge Lorenzo who will be the wildcard for the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP team.

The premier class will cover 10 laps or half the race distance at Silverstone, while the medium and light classes will only have six laps each.

The previous four virtual racing series were quite competitive with three different champions; Alex Marquez has won twice, while Maverick Vinales and Francesco Bagnaia have one title each.

However, the Marquez brothers will be absent at the weekend, as will Valentino Rossi, who last week had his first podium at Misano.

Last year's champion at Silverstone, Alex Rins, will also be absent, while Suzuki will only be joined by Joan Mir.
